Span

This project involved the use of solely wood joinery without outside fasteners to create a solid and structurally sound piece that was able to span a distance of 48" while carrying an additional load. The design was carried through by a set of waffle structures that joined to support piers on the ends. The structures are secured by large wooden rectangular columns and reinforced with dowels, creating a strong midsection for additional weight to rest on.
